For the last seven years, Western Sustainability Exchange has operated the Wednesday Livingston Farmers Market. In 2008 over 150 vendors participated, as well as an estimated 1,000 shoppers on a good weather day.

Market Connection Program
Western Sustainability Exchange is celebrating 15 years of promoting sustainable agriculture. The Market Connection Program has trained over 475 producers about sustainable techniques, and as a result, over 570,000 acres of agricultural land and open space are being managed sustainably today.
Montana Farm to Restaurant Connection
Western Sustainability Exchange is working to increase the visibility of sustainable local producers and the business establishments that carry their products.This program publicizes the story behind the people, products and services involving local food in the area.
Steer to Steak Program
With over 40 million acres in pasture and rangeland, Montana’s 11,000 plus ranchers play a significant role in preserving the region’s open spaces and protecting wildlife habitat. In recognizing the important stewardship role of these livestock producers, WSE is working to develop premium-based markets for sustainably raised cattle.
HARVEST CELEBRATION DINNER
Save the date! The Harvest Celebration Dinner will be held on Friday, September 24th in 2010 at Chico Hot Springs & Resort
in Pray, Montana. This "sustainability tasting" event showcases
regionally renowned chefs and food grown on Montana’s sustainably
managed farms and ranches.

Market Connection Program
WSE's Market Connection Program markets sustainably produced products for farmers and ranchers who are outstanding stewards of their land to culinary and natural food markets. We will hold the fifth annual Commerce Day in Livingston at Vince Grant Hall on Monday, January 25th.

Farm to Restaurant
This program publicizes the story behind the people, products and services
involving local food in the area. It links Montana products with
Montana restaurants in the Gallatin Valley, Park County and Big
Sky areas.

WSE operates the Livingston Farmers Market and we use it to teach
kids basic business skills, sustainable practices and the importance
- and joy - of giving back to their community. We work with kids
to develop products they can sell at the Farmers Market.
