Local Foods Commerce Day
Montana’s premier training and marketing event to simplify and streamline the production, processing, distribution and availability of sustainably produced, local foods. Join us this winter.
Montana Farm to Restaurant Connection
This program publicizes the story behind the people, products and services involving local food in the area. It links Montana products with Montana restaurants. Visit these restaurants to show your support for local, sustainable foods.
Market Connection Program
WSE’s Market Connection Program markets sustainably produced products for farmers and ranchers who are outstanding stewards of their land to culinary and natural food markets. See where these producers and markets are located.
Steer to Steak Program
With over 40 million acres in pasture and rangeland, Montana’s 11,000 plus ranchers play a significant role in preserving the region’s open spaces and protecting wildlife habitat. In recognizing the important stewardship role of these livestock producers, WSE is working to develop premium-based markets for sustainably raised cattle.
Livingston Farmers Market
The Livingston Farmers Market runs every Wednesday, June through September. Join us at the Bandshell in Sacajawea Park from 4:30 to 7:30 for local produce, foods, crafts and music.
Young Entrepreneurial Stewardship Program
WSE operates the Livingston Farmers Market and we use it to teach kids basic business skills, sustainable practices and the importance - and joy – of giving back to their community. We work with kids to develop products they can sell at the Farmers Market.
Harvest Celebration
Save the date! Our annual Harvest Celebration will be held on Friday, September 28th in 2012 at Chico Hot Springs & Resort in Pray, Montana. This “sustainability tasting” event showcases regionally renowned chefs and food grown on Montana’s sustainably managed farms and ranches.
